Sometimes there are new products that hit the market and take it by storm.  Othertimes products that have been around for years are the ones you want to try because they have been proven over and over.  Herbalife is one of the companies that has been around for a long time.  Surprisingly it has been around for nearly three decades which is pretty amazing especially in the weight loss industry.

Herbalife has products you can use for weight management, to improve your health and fitness, and to make sure you are getting the complete nutrition you need.  The official website is full of success stories from people who have had improved digestion and lost weight.

As you might imagine, after 30 years of being in business there is a wide array of products.  In the weight management line, they have nutritional shakes that you can use as meal replacements.  There are also protein bars and other products that can be used to give you the nutrition you need without consuming tons of extra calories.  They have also included products that are appetite suppressants so you don’t have to overeat and you can feel fuller sooner.

Because there are so many different products the ingredient profile varies greatly.  For this review I looked at one of their products.  Snack Defense is an appetite suppressant and doesn’t contain caffeine or other stimulants so it’s safe to use at night.  The ingredients in this particular product include calcium, chromium, gymnema sylvestre leaf extract, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, stearic acid, maltodextrin, slilicon dioxide, dicalcium, phosphate, magnesium stearate, titatium dioxide, shellac, gum acacia, triethyl citrate, and fiboflavin.  The way this product is supposed to work is by regulating blood sugar levels so that you are not as hungry.

Looking through their products the majority of them appear to be perfectly safe.  Snack Defense doesn’t even have caffeine so you won’t have a lot of the side effects that are common among weight loss formulas.

To be honest, the website is a little bit difficult to navigate.  They have it organized into different categories so that you can easily find what you want.  And that’s not the hard part.  When you want to buy a product you have to find a retailer near you because they don’t seem to sell these products on their official webiste.  Before you can even find a retailer near you, they require you to answer some questions about where you heard about this company.  You have to put in all your personal information before they even tell you where to find the product which doesn’t seem right to me.  I want to see where I can get it and whether or not those sites are safe before I give them any information so they can email and call me all the time.

The prices for Herbalife products vary greatly between about $30 and $200 depending on which product you choose.

Conclusion

Herbalife has decent products that can help you to lose weight or maintain your current weight.  I’m wary to recommend this as a top product collection particularly because of the shady business practices.  But they have been around for a long time and there are quite a few people that have seen success so maybe it’s a good option if you need lots of different products and you want them to be ordered from the same place.
